Use and maintenance of micro-injector

The micro-injector mainly provides liquid injection support for gas chromatographs and liquid chromatographs. It is an important part of the experimental process. It is particularly suitable for gas chromatographs and liquid chromatographs for liquid analysis. It is an indispensable precision instrument. Its total capacity error is ±5%. The airtight performance can withstand 0.2mpa. The injector is divided into two types: no liquid storage and liquid storage.

0.5µL-5µL micro-injector without liquid storage

Avoid washing with heavy alkaline solution to prevent glass from corroding and losing weight and stainless steel parts from corroding and damaging, causing water leakage and air leakage.

This injector is a liquid-free injector. The core (stainless steel wire) directly passes through the tip of the needle, so there will be no storage solution, but it should be cleaned immediately after use to avoid the core from being contaminated and stuck.

The dissolution indicator core should not be pulled beyond the AG pattern. If it is accidentally pulled over the pattern and the jacket is completely pulled out and cannot be inserted, it can be reassembled, but the needle tip nut must be unscrewed first, and then the core (stainless steel wire) must be patiently passed through the center of the silicone rubber gasket, and then aligned with the needle tip hole, and the needle tip nut is slowly screwed on, and then the core is pushed in. It is not allowed to be directly inserted to avoid bending the stainless steel wire.

The air tightness of this injector depends on the silicone rubber gasket at the needle tip. Therefore, after a long period of use, the gasket is easy to damage or aging, which will affect the air tightness and must be replaced. Otherwise, it will affect the capacity accuracy and repeatability.

The needle tip of this injector must not work at a high temperature above 400, and it is not suitable to be burned directly with fire to avoid annealing of the needle tip and loss of penetration ability.

10µL-100µL micro-injector with liquid storage

Avoid washing with heavy alkaline solutions to avoid corrosion and weight loss of glass and corrosion of stainless steel parts, which may affect water and air leakage.

This injector is a liquid storage injector. Therefore, when absorbing the solution, the needle tip tube is immersed in the solution and pulled back and forth several times to discharge the bubbles in the needle tip (all bubbles must be exhausted when using it). Users must pay attention, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of analysis and volume accuracy.

The injector needle tip is fixed and must not be removed. The inner hole of the needle tip is extremely small, so it is not suitable for absorbing solutions with coarse suspended substances. It should be cleaned immediately after use to prevent the needle tip from being blocked.

If the needle tip is blocked, it is advisable to use φ0.1mm stainless steel wire to patiently connect it. It cannot be burned directly with fire to prevent the needle tip from being annealed and losing its penetration ability due to high heat.

This injector must not pull the core back and forth many times when the humidity between the core and the sleeve is insufficient (when it is about to dry but not dry) to avoid jamming and wear and damage.

If stainless steel oxide (blackening) is found in the injector, which affects normal use, a small amount of soapy water can be dipped on the stainless steel core and inserted into the injector. It can be removed by going back and forth several times and then washed.
